Boruto Episode 01 Review – Boruto Uzumaki

Hey everyone! Today marks a huge day in the history of Naruto, as the anime sequel, called Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, aired. As mentioned by the creators, the anime will also be including Boruto’s days at the Ninja Academy, so that it doesn’t catch up to the manga immediately. Naruto had already become the 7th Hokage in Boruto series, and Boruto is about to start his days at the Ninja Academy.

The animation for the Boruto Episode 01 is quite different compared to Naruto as well. It isn’t quite as good as the Final episode, but it isn’t bad either. Boruto Episode 01 begins ahead of time, where a 16 year old Boruto is fighting against Kawaki, who has destroyed the entire Hidden Leaf Village. Both seem to be using a special type of curse mark power.
Kawaki also goes far as to mentioned that he has either killed, or severely incapacitated Naruto. With that the two prepare for battle, and we begin the present story.
Boruto seems to be a prodigious Ninja, who has mastered the Kage Bunshin even before becoming a Genin. He seems to be good friends with Shikadai as well.

On his way to home, he notices a guy named Denki being bullied by some kids. Boruto helps him out, and even sort lnspires him. Denki needs the acknowledgment of his father, but he doesn’t seem to be able to do so.

He suddenly gets possessed by some dark spirit, which leads him to drag the bullies, Boruto and even himself into total mess, which Boruto finally sorts out with Denki’s help.
Being late for the first day at the Academy, Boruto makes his entrance in style!
Boruto also shows some weird powers, where his eye would suddenly turn white, reacting to the dark chakra. Whether this is the Byakugan or not remains to be seen.

Personally, I think the prologue was great, and intriguing at the same time. It hinted at an intense battle coming up in the series, which I’m sure every fan would enjoy. The only thing that bothers us all is Naruto’s death. I, along with a lot of fans, believe he’s still alive, but only time will tell. The rest of the episode promised a great start to the series, and I’m sure fans will not be disappointed, as Boruto now begins his days at the Academy
